School’s Out (schoolsout.com) is a free service we developed over ten years ago for parents and students to receive notifications from their school via email and text messaging. School administrators register their school with School’s Out, then parents signup individually online to receive notifications. Parent’s pay an annual fee for text messages and the school pays nothing. Sounds great, huh? Unfortunately, school administrators have no control of who receives their messages or even know who’s signed up. Since schools don’t know who’s in their message group, they don’t know if everyone’s been notified. And that’s the problem.
